Established in 1963 by Ragionier Enzo Fenotti, Cartiera del Chiese sparked a revolutionary transformation in the paper industry. The visionary decision to utilize scrap paper as a source material echoes the forward-looking and pioneering vision of Ragionier Fenotti, who continues to lead our company today with unwavering dedication.
First extrusion line
In 1973, Cartiera del Chiese made a significant leap forward with the introduction of its first extrusion line. This pivotal move involved the incorporation of two in-line extrusion machines. The innovative production line established new industry standards and facilitated the lamination of white and brown paper with adhesive materials like PE, PP, and PET, enabling the company to venture into new and strategic sectors. This initiative marked a revolutionary step for the company’s growth and technological advancement.
Second extrusion line
In the 1990s, Cartiera del Chiese set another key milestone with the installation of its second extrusion line. This upgrade provided enhanced flexibility for handling larger paper formats while also enabling the application of adhesive. Our unwavering commitment to improvement has shaped a more versatile process capable of adapting swiftly to the evolving and increasingly challenging needs of the market.
Third extrusion line
In the 2000s, Cartiera del Chiese unveiled its third extrusion line, featuring cutting-edge technology and boasting a finished product format of 270 cm. This strategic investment is meticulously crafted for reel wrapping applications, opening doors to lucrative opportunities in the corrugated board, solid board, and insulation sectors. This technological leap marked a substantial enhancement in our production capabilities, expanding our footprint across diverse sectors and reinforcing our steadfast commitment to innovation and adaptability.
In 2015, Cartiera del Chiese achieved the prestigious ISO 14067 certification, outlining principles for quantifying the carbon footprint of products. This recognition serves as a testament to our tangible commitment to reducing atmospheric emissions, highlighting our company’s unwavering dedication to sustainable processes and policies.
Carrying Bags, Handles, and E-commerce Market:
In 2016, Cartiera del Chiese invested strategically to enter the market for carrier bags and e-commerce, a proactive response to evolving market demands. This initiative has positioned us as a European leader in the production of brown kraft with significant stretch resistance. The investment included the purchase of new rewinding machines capable of meeting customers’ diverse format requirements while ensuring the supply of high-strength handles.
New Plant and Glue-Primer Line
In 2018, Cartiera del Chiese marked a significant milestone by inaugurating a new 8,000 m2 warehouse and unveiling new sales offices. Simultaneously, the company made strategic investments, introducing a new extrusion line for glue and primer laminates.
New renewable energy installations
